How to Choose Your Heater Options

When adding this heater to your cart, you will need to select the correct fuel type and heat exchanger material for your specific pool setup. Here is a quick guide to help you choose:

Fuel Type: Natural Gas vs. Liquid Propane The fuel type you select is not a matter of preference; it depends entirely on what type of gas supply your home currently uses.

• Choose Natural Gas: If your home is connected to a municipal/city natural gas line. Natural gas is piped directly to your house and pool equipment, providing a continuous, uninterrupted supply.
• Choose Propane : If your property does not have access to city gas lines and relies on a large, dedicated propane tank sitting on your property.

Heat Exchanger Material: Copper vs. Cupronickel The heat exchanger is the metal tubing inside the heater that gets hot and warms your pool water. Both are excellent options, but your choice depends on your pool's water chemistry.

• Choose Copper (Standard): Standard copper is highly efficient at transferring heat and is the industry standard. It is the most cost-effective choice and is perfect for traditional, well-maintained chlorine pools with consistently balanced water chemistry.
• Choose Cupronickel (Heavy Duty): Cupronickel is a tougher, more durable alloy made of copper and nickel. It is highly resistant to corrosion. You should strongly consider upgrading to Cupronickel if you have a saltwater pool, a commercial pool, or if you struggle to keep your water chemistry (like pH and alkalinity) perfectly balanced. It provides extra peace of mind and extends the lifespan of the heater in harsher conditions.
