How to Start Up Your Spa (The Basics)

1. Fill & Protect: As your spa is filling, add the recommended dose of Metal Gon to neutralize minerals in your tap water.
2. Test & Balance: Once the water is heated, use the Test Strips. Adjust your Total Alkalinity and pH using Spa Up or Spa Down until they are in the ideal ranges.
3. Establish the Reserve: Add the Sodium Bromide to build your initial bromine bank in the fresh water.
4. Sanitize & Shock: Fill a floating dispenser with the Brominating Tablets and adjust the flow to maintain a 3-5 ppm bromine level. Follow up with Renew shock to activate the bromine and make the water crystal clear.

What is the difference between this Bromine kit and the Chlorine kit?

Do I need a floating dispenser for this kit?
Yes. The Brominating Tablets are designed to dissolve slowly over time. You will need a standard floating tablet dispenser (sold separately) to hold the tablets and regulate the sanitizer flow.

How long will this kit last?
