Gladon's Happy Bottom Above Ground Pool Padding is the best pool pad to add a nice cushion to your pools floor along with protecting the liner. Much better for your pool and easier to install than Gorilla pad or other material type of pool padding.

Happy Bottom Pool Pad can add years of life to a pool and its liner. Made from a special high density polyethylene foam, HappyBottom Pool Pad acts as a vapor barrier to keep potentially harmful water away from metal components. In addition, liner failure due to puncture is minimized and heat retention is improved. HappyBottom Pool Pad is easy to install. First, roll out sections of pad and cut them one foot longer than the (biggest, if oval) dimension of the pool. Next, seam enough 4 ft. wide sections together with Sure Seam Tape to cover the (smaller if oval) dimension of the pool. Finally, flip pad over so tape is facing the ground and build the entire pool on top of the pad. Trim off excess pad material after pool has been filled.

NOTE: GEOTEXTILE pads ( Gorilla Padding ) DO NOT provide cushioning like HappyBottom does. Geotextile pads are flimsy, hard to install felt like products. They are not much thicker than a heavy piece of cloth. Geotextile pads DO NOT help prevent footprints in the bottom of your pool like HappyBottom does. Because they come as one big sheet, they are hard to install. It is difficult to get a smooth, wrinkle free pool bottom when using a geotextile product. Geotextile products are porous and hold water much like a sponge does. This trapped water can promote black mold growth which may be visible through the pool liner. Use HappyBottom or our Perfect Pool Bottom instead.
